| BACPAC is a group of artists dedicated to the pursuit of painting outdoors. Each one of these artists pursue their own development and artistic goals and are united by a deep reverence for nature and a commitment to the artistic expression of representational painting. Some members of this group have painted together since 1992, some of them paint together regularly three times a week. It is really out of this grass root revival, the love of Plein Air, and the pursuit of a style derived form the Russian impressionists, the Barbizon School, and the California Plein Air School that this selected group of artists introduce themselves. Naturally, you will find common subject matters in a variety of interpretations, what they call "Variations on the Theme", since the group paints together so frequently, most often by the Bay of San Francisco. The work of these artists is available to collectors, some have gallery representation and you will find a link in their personal pages. We invite you to enjoy their work.
