Dear Friends,

We are delighted to announce that our painting group, Bay Area Contemporary Plein Air Circle, or BACPAC, as we are known, is about  to launch an electronic newsletter. We plan to send it quarterly to anyone who is interested in our work. Information to be included will be:

• Images of new work by BACPAC artists
• Current Events
• News
• Where we paint, including directions and dates
• Links to artists and others

"A Brush With Nature"
at the Triton Museum, to be on exhibit until 
March 22, 2008

The painting "Storm at Sundown," submitted by Susan Brott Lawson for the Triton Museum's Statewide Competition, won a Silver Award of Merit.  
Also, Maria Boisvert’s gorgeous, large painting was accepted for the Statewide Competition.




BACPAC group has regular paint outs on Tuesdays and Sundays.

> The Tuesday Paint Out is held on a weekly basis at the Palo Alto Baylands Preserve. The group start around 10:00 am, and Brigitte stays in the afternoon until sunset. Come when you can. The exact location within the park may change from time to time and you can easily find us looking for a group of easels see map at www.classart.org

> We paint on Sundays, most weekends, (generally two to three times a month).  It is a very informal gathering.  People come when they can, and paint for however long they are able.  Emails usually come out Thursdays or Fridays for that weekends location.

> Sandy Ostrau will be having a solo artist show at Spindrift Gallery, in Gualala CA.  Beginning March 15, 2008.  The show titled "Essential Impressions" will feature a collection of  Northern California landscapes capturing the simple forms and vibrant colors found in the coast and hills of the region.
